A Story of Beauty… A Story of Rescue… A Story of Reconciliation

In the beginning God created the World and said it was good. His dream was to interact with man and all of creation in ways more beautiful than we can fully comprehend.

Somehow along the way things went wrong. Man became deceived by the lie that is “there is a better way than God’s proposed best for our lives.” This deception and response to it has lead to rebellion against God and His hope for the world. It’s easy to see how this brokenness is still spiraling even today.

Ever since God has been passionately chasing after all of humanity in an attempt to put things back together once again. In a move of undeserving love towards all of His creation, He sent His son Jesus to walk among us.

Jesus lived a life full of grace and truth revealing how we were made to live. He spoke of The Kingdom of God, healing for the sick, blessing for the poor, along with (ideas on) how to break the downward cycle we fall into in our day-to-day lives. He offers a simple yet bold call to each of us… “Follow Me.” He calls us into living out the Kingdom of God, a call back into how we were originally created to live.

The beauty of the story does not end there. As with anything in life there is consequence. Our scriptures tell us that for the forgiveness of sin, a payment must be made. Jesus, in an ultimate act of love, made that payment for all of creation through his death on a cross. An innocent life broken over His undying desire to see God and man back together.

Through the power of God, three days later Jesus rose from the grave to once and for all conquer death and sin. Through Jesus paying our price and defeating death we are welcomed into a new hope. A hope that things can be put back together again... A hope they we can once again fellowship with God… A hope that truth, and grace, and love can once again be restored to our world.

Jesus’ call to us to “follow him” is a call for us to join with Him as partners in showing the face of God to the world around us.
